My A Team
Posted on December 06 2020
Y'all, there are a few quotes that seem to sum up "the tudes (what we call ourselves at Multitudes)" this season!
I am a blessed boss! I have a team of people who have been with me for a LOOONNNG time. They know the in's and out's of Multitudes! They can do this job with their eyes closed! I could disappear and they could keep it running!
Wait......that happened! LOL!
I've been out for about 6 weeks with some health issues, and Y'all, my team has AMAZED me! Not only have they kept the store running smoothly, they have gone above and beyond the call of duty!
Let me tell you a bit about these three amazing young women...
Many of you know that she is my cousin. Really, she is more like a little sister. I can't even imagine Multitudes, or my life, without her. She is my right hand girl. If you follow us on any of our platforms, you see Mary's amazing handiwork! Mary's title is Social Media Director. She runs all our social media, all our marketing, works the floor, models, edits pictures, creates our videos, does our lives, and helps buy product for the store. She also plans and manages all our events! As if that's not enough, she owns and manages her wholesale company, Honeysuckle, which we also sell in store. Her business is taking off and we are so excited for it's future. Most importantly, she is a momma to the most adorable 4 year old around, Georgia Rose! She is beautiful inside and out, and I am so proud of her and so blessed to have her as a part of this business!
Bailey graduated with my son, and I've know her since they were in 5th grade. I have always adored her and loved her spunky personality. One day I found myself needing to add a team member and I prayed for the Lord to send the right one. Well, literally that week, Bailey's mom popped in the store. We were just chit chatting and I asked her about Bailey (& her sisters). Rhonda told me that she was a bit worried about Bailey because she had suddenly decided she didn't want to go away to college as planned and upset about her future, and was needing to find a job. Well, I told her to tell Bailey to call me and the rest is history! Y'all, this precious girl is a workhorse! Bailey is our Inventory Director. She processes every item. This entails entering the products into our system, hanging, steaming, & tagging those items, taking inventory of those items, and managing those items on the website. She also models, creates our tik toks, does our lives, works the floor, helps me buy & assists Mary with Honeysuckle. On top of all that, she is also our resident handygirl! She is a master with a drill and a hammer! And, of course, she is also beautiful inside and out and I seriously CANNOT imagine my business without her!
Bella is my niece (aka other daughter)! I always knew she would probably work for me, but I had no idea what an asset she would be! First, she is the most calm, low-key, easy-to-be-around person in our group! We feed off of her calmness! Second, she is the creative eye in the store!! She creates all our flat lays, all our displays, dresses the mannequins each week, and moves the displays and racks around! If you have ever been inside our brick and mortar you see her amazing talent all around you! Third, she assists Baily with inventory, She actually ends up steaming more than anyone else because of all the other things everyone is doing! This is the worst job and she does it efficiently and without one complaint! She also helps with monthly inventory tallies and is in charge of knowing when to take mark-downs on certain styles. Oh, AND she works the floor! She is just amazing! I know she will leave one day to head off to college, and I'm not quite sure what we will do! She is also beautiful inside and out, and we LOVE having her on our team!
These girls, y'all...they have worked extra hours, after hours, at home, on Sundays...just to make sure we had everything ready for Black Friday, Shop Small Saturday, Cyber Monday, and now the Waxahachie Junior Service League Christmas Market! Two of our busiest weekends of the WHOLE year...back...to...back...without...any...help...from...me! I can't tell you how many texts I sent to remind them of things...only to find out, they had already taken care of it!
OK, back to the quotes I mentioned earlier...well here is the other one:
Tough times don't last, but tough teams do!
Y'all, this has been a tough year! But good news here...my team is strong and lovely, and hardworking, and fun! They will outlast this tough time with hard work and smiles. I am a lucky boss!
One last thing, these past two weekends have been two of the most successful in Multitudes' 6 year history! Well, my team, and YOU made that happen! It's their hustle and LOVE for Multitudes that pushed them forward so that we would be ready to serve y'all! And, YOU, you showed up and supported us in a HUGE way! I can't thank you enough!
My prayer for you as we get closer to this Christmas, is that you will each have a team (aka: family & friends) that will bless you the way my team, and YOU, have blessed me!
